Day 1 Guilin/Longji Mountain Village
Pick you up by our English speaking tour guide and transfer to Longsheng, it takes about 2 hours to Longji Mountain Village.you can stroll around the village. Stay overnight in Ping'an Village.
Longsheng is famous for the Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces : 60square kilometers of terraced rice fields southeast of Longsheng. They were first built in the Yuan dynasty and completed in the Qing dynasty by Zhuang people. The terraced fields are built along the hill slope winding from the riverside up to the mountain's top. with the highest place of an elevation of 885m and the lowest 380m, the coiling line spirals up from the mountain foot to the top, the shapeof the mountain looks like a huge snake seen from afar.
Day 2 Longji / Sanjiang (B/L)
Morning, two hours hiking on trails between Longji Dragon Backbone Rice Terrace, enjoy the huge rice terrace in the mist. at the same day, we will drive to Sanjiang , It will take about 2 hours by bus (85 km).
Sanjiang, famous for its particular native culture of Dong villages, is located in a beautiful river valley, you can visit the elegant architecture of roof-covered bridges, villages, drum towers, traditional way of making cloth and embroidaries, and so on.
Day3 Sanjiang / Guilin
Transfer to Guilin by bus. then visit spots Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill. Take evening cruise for enjoying the famous scenery: Two Rivers and Four Lakes.
The Reed Flute Cave is one of the largest known examples of what each tropical karst cone conceals within it. The script writers and set designers for Star Trek would have a field in this cavernous underground stalactite/stalagmite maze-style theater. The dropping water is rich and the dripstones are not only in various types but also in big size, displaying a wonderful cave world. This cave was called "The Art Gallery of Mother Nature". Colored fluorescent lights which cast shadows and illuminate shapes of imaginary animals, fruits and vegetables ,cause the unworldly effect.
Elephant Trunk Hill, located on the west bank of the Li River by a small branch called Peach blossom River, and resembles a huge elephant standing on the bank of the river, sucking up water with its long trunk. The trunk is particularly striking and lifelike when viewed either nearby or afar. A circular foot cave called Shui Yue Dong (Moon-In-the Water Cave) separates the trunk and the body. A 3-story Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 A.D) brick pagoda rises from the top of hill.

Day4 Guilin / Yangshuo (B, L, )
After breakfast, You will start your Li River Cruise from the Zhujiang pier. The total Journey is around 83-km-long and will take about 4 hours. On the way you will see the most beautiful landscapes and pass throgh the local villages.
Later the day you will arrive at Yangshuo. then cycle for two hours to the countryside, escorted by our tour guide. of course you can choose to stay in the town, stroll around the local market, witness the daily activities of local society,
Yangshuo, the natural scenery features unique karst hills, crystal water, exquisite stones and intricate caves as well as a cultural historic heritage and diverse folks and customs. At night, visit the West Street, but don't drink too much to miss tomorrow's schedule, Or you can go to watch the envening show - Impression Liu Sanjie. The optional ticket is RMB 188 per person. The Cormorant Bird catching fish show at night is also something new (optional).
Day5 Yangshuo (B, L, )
After breakfast you will drive 40 minutes to visit Langzi, an old village with nice traditional buildings and beautiful surroundings. Or you can choose take our another tour line---- Water Rafting two hours on Yulong River , a unique experience on bamboo raft, safe journey through picturesque rice padding fields and limestone mountains.
Climbing up the Moon Hill, strolling around rice fields, by doing this way, you may understand what is the Chinese farmer's life.
Day6 Yangshuo / Departure (B )
Free morning activities. Later the day you will be transferred to Guilin international airport or train station. |
